Poetic Monday

¿Quien soy yo? My own invention
More than my genes, country, family and faith
Straddling identities, I am more than a sum of my parts
Hija de la tierra, sangre de las Américas
I stand on the shoulders of those that paved this road
Para ver el horizonte y buscar la próxima aventura
As I morph into a better me

(Note about posts this month)

October marks the beginning of a little experiment on this blog. I’ve challenged myself to post every day. I am not really sure I can pull it off but I am going to try and in the process hope not to annoy any of you so here is the fair warning.

To help facilitate a daily post I am trying to find themes for a few of the week days. Most likely I will post some original poetry on Mondays, something travel related on Tuesdays, Fridays will continue to be my Project 52 posts, and will strive for something spiritual or reflective on Sundays. Not sure what I’m doing with Wed., Thurs., and Sat. but hopefully it will be something you enjoy. Maybe a Linky Party – craft one day and a Hispanic / Latino focus post on another (to close out Hispanic Heritage Month). Nothing like surprises, right?

As always I’d love for you to join me and share your own creative work or thoughts on the topics. On the poetry days I’d love for you to comment with a link directing us back to your work if you have any you’d like to share. Of course your comments and shares are greatly appreciated. Thank you all for taking the time to visit. Hope you all have an amazing October.
