If you want to learn more about our project 52 and why ours “usually” consists of two pictures click HERE.
Anyone who has kids can attest to the fact that parenting can seem like a Broadway production. We “practice” what we’d like our kids to act like in public at home by teaching manners, compassion, empathy, social skills, etc. and we “choreograph” play-dates, classes, and other activities. After all of it we’d like to think we can step back and watch the show. Life with kids is lots of things but trust me when I say that it is NEVER boring and usually it is very surprising.
As I shared in previous posts we had gotten to a phase where our oldest was acting out and being very contrary. She is so dramatic and seems to have a very vivid imagination so when we found out about a camp that might help her with all this creativity and energy we were ecstatic and forever grateful to abuelita for enrolling her. This week was the second week our daughter got to participate in The Magik Theater’s Camp Showbiz. She loves it and the only draw back we can find is that two weeks is not long enough. She’ll have her performance today and then we’ll have to figure out other ways to keep her creative spirit engaged but for now this Camp Showbiz was just what she (we) needed.
Oh and baby sister… well she seems to be just as dramatic and even MORE strong willed (if that’s even possible). Almost always a happy baby she is not shy about letting you know what she wants and what she doesn’t and heaven help you if you don’t head her warnings. Don’t let that cute smile fool you. Big sister is in trouble if she thinks she’s going to boss little one around.
*If you’re doing a Project 52 I’d love for you to leave a comment with your link below and share. It’s never too late to start! If you link me, I’ll link you in next week’s post.
and while Life in an Instant from Kids Stuff World is not exactly a Project 52, the concept is still the same: share an image for the week and link up… so I’m including it here. Hope you enjoy these blogs
