CONTEST CLOSED: Winner is #29 Rhonda Esparza
Just in time for the holidays this post contains a giveaway and discount code.
Holiday shopping secrets are the kind of info I look forward to most when I’m online in the fall. Whether it’s the best place to buy the ingredients for our holiday meals, DIY gifts, or the ideal place and time to shop kids holiday attire. Finding out that there is a hidden gem in your own backyard just in time for the holidays is my kind of bargain shopping fun and if you leave me a comment you’ll be entered to win a $50 gift certificate to the store.
Recently a group of bloggers and our daughters were invited to C. I. Castro in San Antonio, TX. This is the hidden gem. C. I. Castro is the manufacture of well-known Jayne Copeland brand of traditional dresses sold at finer retail stores. I mean, who knew? We already own lots of Jayne Copeland dresses courtesy of abuelita (my mom) who often surprises my very girly girls with fab dresses for our pictures or parties. Of course she didn’t know this store was in town so she’s been paying retail for them. Hopefully, she will not have to anymore.
For those of us who live in San Antonio, or are visiting and don’t mind a shopping stop, know that they have a small store in town where you can buy the dresses at drastically reduced prices. The front is their corporate office so drive to the back and ring the doorbell to shop the store. To get an additional 20% off the already reduced prices just share my blogger code “300” and tell them you saw it on My Tots Travel.
At their store (where you can find the best selection and the best prices) you’ll find all their current styles, some sample styles (so there might be a few one-of-a-kind dresses), and a few of last seasons styles as well as baptism, christening and first communion outfits for boys and girls, flower girl dresses and a few other surprises. You can even shop for trim, fabric, and other notions also at a considerable discount. They are located at the outlet store located at 3503 Northeast Parkway in San Antonio and open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. They carry sizes 3-24 months, 2-6X and 7-16.
Our girls had the opportunity to model a few dresses and have fun on the pink carpet. There was a professional photographer there taking pictures of them while they worked their looks and afterwards they got to have fun with each other while we learned about the store. Of course, that was followed by some determined shopping because we couldn’t leave the store without at least a few more dresses.
C. I. Castro & Co. has been at this location for a few years now but has been in San Antonio since 1944. The company, which started in New York three generations ago, has been in business 92 years. Always focused on quality, Mr. Castro is involved with every detail of the production from fabric and dress design to everything in-between and it clearly shows.
The classic styles are perfect for holidays, family photos, and other special occasions and you can take advantage of an upcoming tent sale just in time for all the seasonal parties and we’re helping you get that shopping started with a $50 giveaway to the store. Just leave me a comment below sharing who you’d like to shop for. The gift certificate must be used by 12/24/14 so don’t wait!
Plus, don’t forget that readers of My Tots Travel who share that they read this post and provide my blogger code (300) will get an additional 20% off. Also, make sure to get on their email list to always know about upcoming sales (there’s a big tent sale coming up you don’t want to miss) keep them in mind next time you need traditional dresses like these. The winner of the $50 gift certificate to C. I. Castro & Co. will be selected 11/09/14 and announced on this blog post on 11/10/14. Good luck!
