Wizz Air car seat and stroller policy
Planning a Wizz Air flight with kids? Learn the rules for taking a stroller or car seat, the free infant baggage allowance, and how seating works for families.
Wizz Air allows you to bring a stroller for free, and a car seat for a child over 2 for free; these items must be checked into the hold at the aircraft door. A notable perk is that infants get their own additional personal item allowance for the cabin, with specific size and weight limits.

You can bring one foldable baby pushchair, pram, or foldable travel cot to the gate free of charge. A car seat for a child over 2 years old can also be brought to the gate for free. According to Wizz Air’s policy, these items will be tagged and then collected at the aircraft door or steps to be stowed in the aircraft hold for the flight.

Baby baggage
When you travel with a baby, Wizz Air allows you to bring one additional personal item on board at no extra charge. This bag is considered the infant’s luggage. It must be no larger than 40 x 30 x 20 cm and have a maximum weight of 10 kg. This is a separate allowance from the adults’ carry-on baggage.

Sitting together
Wizz Air’s system will automatically assign a seat for a child next to one of the adults in the reservation during check-in. However, this does not guarantee that the rest of the family will be seated together.
“During the check-in process, the adult and the child will automatically be assigned seats next to each other. Please note that the entire family might not be seated together, as the child will be seated next to one of the adults.”
