EVA Air bassinet: what the airline says
Your guide to EVA Air's baby bassinet rules. Find out how to reserve one, what information is needed, and the policies for lap infant fares.
EVA Air offers baby bassinets on all its aircraft, which can be a great help for families on long flights. To request one, you must provide your baby’s date of birth, height, and weight when you book. The airline has specific rules for lap infants and for children who turn two during a trip.
Because airline policies can be updated, it is always a good practice to confirm all the details directly with EVA Air when you make your reservation. This ensures you have the most current information for your travel plans.

Bassinets
Baby bassinets are available on every EVA Air aircraft, but they come with height and weight limitations for safety. The official information we checked does not state the exact size limits. To reserve a bassinet, you need to tell the airline your baby’s date of birth, height, and weight when you book your tickets. Be sure to ask about the specific size restrictions for your flight.

Lap infant rules that go with a bassinet
On EVA Air, a child under two years old can travel on an adult’s lap with an “infant fare ticket.” Each adult passenger is permitted to travel with only one lap infant. If a child turns two after travel has begun, a child fare must be paid for a seat on the onward and/or return flights.
“A child who has not reached his/her second birthday and is not occupying a seat shall purchase an infant fare ticket.”
