Iberia car seat and stroller policy
A guide to Iberia's rules for flying with children. Learn about baggage allowance for infants and policies for checking or using strollers and car seats.
Iberia offers a helpful baggage policy for families, giving infants the same luggage allowance as their accompanying adult. You can also bring a car seat or a stroller at no extra charge, and a separate bag with your baby’s flight essentials is permitted.
Airline policies can be updated, so it is always a good practice to confirm the details for your specific flight directly with Iberia when you make your reservation or before you travel.

Strollers and car seats
You can check one car seat or buggy for free for each infant or child, and this does not count toward their standard baggage allowance. The car seat must have TÜV or FAA certification for aircraft use, comply with ECE R44/R129 safety standards, and not be wider than 42-44 cm.
“Children with a child passenger (CHD) or infant passenger (INF) fare ticket have the same free baggage allowance as the companion and can also take a buggy or a car seat free of charge.”

Baby baggage
Iberia’s policy gives infants with a ticket the same free baggage allowance as the adult they are traveling with. On top of that allowance, you can also check a folding pushchair or a car seat for free. The airline also allows you to bring a separate bag on board containing food, drink, and other items you will need for your baby during the flight.
“Iberia understands what travelling with a small child means and therefore assigns the same free baggage allowance as that of the accompanying adult, plus a folding pushchair or a car seat. You can also take a bag with food, drink and any other essential items for the flight.”
